My goal is simple: make brass recovery easy, organized, and valuable for range owners.
Noel MacFarland- Owner
As a member of the shooting community, I wanted to take an item that would normally be considered trash, and turn it into a valuable resource.
Precision Brass Recovery began with a New Year’s resolution and a trip to the range.
After many years of holding a concealed weapons permit but spending little time practicing, I made a New Year’s resolution to reconnect with shooting as a discipline. What I discovered was more than a sport- it was focus, precision, and a quiet satisfaction that comes from steady improvement. Each round fired, and each target hit reminded me how powerful concentration and skill can feel.
During those range sessions, I also noticed something else- the volume of spent brass being swept up and discarded. Hundreds of casings after just one afternoon. Perfectly recyclable material headed for the landfill.
Having previously worked with scrap metal recycling, I recognized both the environmental impact and the potential to salvage spent casings. Brass is a resource, and when properly recovered, it can be reclaimed, melted, and reintroduced into the manufacturing cycle. Recovering brass supports responsible range operations, reduces unnecessary landfill use, and contributes to a more sustainable supply chain for ammunition production. Reintroducing brass through this process can help keep the cost of ammunition from increasing.
Precision Brass Recovery was created to help ranges operate cleaner, smarter, and more efficiently. It is my passion to partner with range owners to make brass recovery organized, reliable, and beneficial for everyone involved.
